Need an Exercise? Find Stairs...

My good friend Virgil Aponte is known for one thing and one thing only: designing innovative and effective exercise programs using absolutely no gym equipment...only stairs. Yep, he is known as "The Stairs Guy" and he held his first Stairs Clinic in NYC last month. What the attendees got at his first ever clinic was a plethora of exercise program ideas utilizing simple staircases found in local parks, buildings, and homes. With the season of outdoor boot-camps upon us, so many trainers rack their brains trying to come up with different ideas for the next day's class. So many factors to deal with when designing bootcamp programs: progressing attendees, combating monotony and boredom, and choosing safe exercises. Well, Virgil has shown me and many others that a simple tool like stairs can be utilized safely and effectively to kick the living daylights out of clients! What did Virgil show us? Check it out for yourself!
